childhood stories
hearing stories about my childhood days from my titos and titas never fail to amuse me. i always laugh when they tell the stories because i realize how silly i was as a kid (and i am still silly now, haha). anyway, they always tell me how hard it is to put me to sleep at night. so what my dad would do was make me walk up and down the stairs so i’d get tired and i’d fall asleep. but sometimes, it didn’t work. so what he would do during the other times was put me in the lazy susan so i’d get dizzy and then i’d fall asleep. one of my friends laughed when i told him this story. he made a comment. he said, ‘bata ka pa lang late ka na talaga natutulog.’ because apparently, that is how i am today. i always sleep late.
another story was from my mom. we used to live in project 8 and our place is very near sm north edsa. during those years, traffic wasn’t that bad yet so my mom would get home early and because it’s still early, she’d take me to the mall. as i grew older, my mom would always complain that i’m always out or that i always want to go out. and i would just tell her that it was her fault that i always want to be out. i mean you know, she was the one who would bring me to the mall as early as two or three years old. haha.
